Outstanding Qualities Of Strong Women In Christ

By Donald Cooper

Some people argue that woman was the best of God's creation because she was the last of all. Eve was her name, having been formed from Adam's rib. Procreation happened and others including Virgin Mary, Ruth, Prophetess Deborah and Mary Magdalene were born. These people have qualities that make them be considered as some of the strong women in Christ in history.

One of them is that they dressed decently. Every woman who claims to be in Christ must dress in nice apparel. They must not dress to expose parts of their body for the fear of luring men and leading them to fornicate in their heart. Christ said that even in the heart, adultery can be done (Matthew 5:28).

She is also holy in her ways. Apart from her dressing, the way she talks, walks and acts in her workplace connotes this. Anything that will take away the Holy Spirit from her is not welcome at all. She does not give an excuse for sin or look for a small opportunity to get another man's attention.

No matter what the consequences may be, a strong woman in the Lord will say the truth. She is not interested in the financial gains that lying may bring. Give her a top position in the company and she will reject it if what is required of her is to prepare false reports. She is liked by only a few who are as godly as she is and those who want to be like her.

She is not troublesome except to the kingdom of darkness for she prays and learns from others more than the way she talks. You will rarely see her in a position to teach except by the leading of the Holy Spirit. In the church, many people like to hear her contributions for they are lessons with practical life applications to help men and young women to be like God.

She is also very much useful at home, to her husband and children. Although she is vibrant in the Lord and able to take up cities, he is also very humble and willing to perform her primary duties first. She is a typical example of a virtuous woman as described in Proverbs 31:10-31. Some of the things she does include helping her husband financially and waking up early to feed the family.

A strong woman in the Lord is always looking out for the needy to help them. She prepares meals for her servants and asks of the whereabouts of her friends just so that she can come in to help them where she can. She joins the church for hospital and prison ministration.

Women who are deeply rooted in Christ have the habit of having a quiet time. Before the general devotion at home, she wakes up to study the Bible and thank God for life. Simply by emulating her, another Christian can grow. She remains relevant like a light that is placed on the mountain.
